Chelsea Flower Show

Chetwoods’ investments in sustainable design initiatives include two gold-medal winning show gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The 2007 Urban Oasis Garden was fully funded by Chetwoods and the 2009 Elizabethan Perfume Garden was sponsored by Chetwoods in partnership with Gazeley and their consultant team.

The gardens, designed by Laurie Chetwood and Patrick Collins, demonstrated the potential of sustainable design.  All materials were from renewable resources with features including rainwater harvesting, a borehole, a wind turbine, and the conversion of daylight to electricity to power lighting and irrigation.

The judges recognized the exceptional design of the Perfume Garden with an additional Most Creative Award.
