The riverside development and masterplanning exercise in Bishops Stortford led to an award-winning design by Chetwoods for a combined foot and cycle bridge over the River Stort for East Herts Council and Railtrack.
The design replaced an ageing and stepped bridge with an innovative landmark crossing, known locally as the Goods Yard Footbridge, which has inspired connectivity within the focus centre.
