Proposals at Boxted Wood were developed as an environmentally-led sustainable masterplan for an eco-town with an initial 4,000 residential properties supported by community facilities including retail, education and leisure.
The masterplan provides the infrastructure for up to 10,000 residential units in two further phases all of which emanate from the existing lake, which is extended to provide a leisure focus.
The masterplan and detailed character area analysis are currently progressing through a public consultation forum.
