Chetwoods secured planning for a 61-bed hotel, 62 sheltered/affordable apartments and a 400 space multi-storey car park, which combine to create a £14m scheme in Lichfield on the site of a current council car park.
Partly funded by the HCA, the development seeks to mitigate the impact of the multi-storey car park on the adjacent Festival Gardens parkland by cloaking it with residential apartments.
The scheme is due to start on site in the autumn of 2011 with completion anticipated during 2012.
