Hull Fruit Market Competition

A competitive entry to regenerate an area of Hull known as the Fruit Market, which occupies the southern tip of the old town. The design complemented the new developments envisaged on the east bank of the River Hull and Humber Quays.

Street hierarchy was considered carefully to ensure permeability and connectivity throughout the site, maximizing integration with the existing fabric of the city.

Retained buildings were enhanced by a new development which sensitively connected the existing context with a sustainable addition, encouraging pedestrian and cycle links throughout.
