London Gateway is a unique development, just ten miles from the M25, which combines the UK’s newest deep-sea container port with Europe’s largest logistics park, using world-leading technology to increase productivity and reduce costs. London Gateway Logistics Park is acknowledged by many in the industry as the best distribution (‘big sheets’) site in the UK.
In addition to a major deep-sea port, London Gateway will integrate with Europe’s largest logistics park providing some 9.25m sq ft (860k sq m) of accommodation, primarily for the distribution sector with individual units up to and in excess of one million square feet.
The location of the port will ensure trade does not have to travel far with fewer road miles, costs and vehicle emissions. This concept of integration is known as PortCentric logistics.
The Park will include the latest thinking for design and sustainability, allowing end users to operate their business in a sustainable, efficient and cost-effective manner. Great care is being taken to ensure all methods of environmental sustainability are considered and incorporated into the design.
