Chetwoods have been involved in the Selly Oak project for many years achieving a number of planning consents for the 84 hectare site. Uses beyond a superstore have included residential, technology, a dental teaching hospital, leisure and entertainment.
Contained by a new relief road, railways and a canal, the former tip site has now been fully remediated and provides a phased masterplan, which is likely to commence with the food store and extended canal basin. Up to 1.5 million ft² have been consented.
