The new generation of stations goes beyond functional and regulatory requirements to change people’s expectations of what metro station scan offer to visitors. The stations are designed to be memorable spaces that `provoke emotions`, not merely points of transit. Each station has a unique concept that explores and interprets in its form, texture and materials the local culture of the area in which it is located.

The project continued the first phase of thirteen stations, the city of Chengdu’s first unmanned subway line in western China and the world’s first fully automated line in a city area that operates with high-capacity advanced trains.
