Health City is dedicated to finding a smarter and greener solution to the demand to modernise China’s 2nd or 3rd tier cities and towns.

The project’s philosophy is to create a self-contained and self-sustaining place to live, based on a multi-generational model that will deliver 'Blue Zone' benefits to urban communities. It will also be an exemplar template for a more agile type of settlement, able to flex and adapt when circumstances change such as during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In plan, the architecture is based on contemporary interpretations of traditional Chinese Siheyuan and ‘Sky Well’ courtyards, with buildings referring to a tradition that is ideal for adapting into self-sufficient community isolation and safe-shielding. Biophilic design would manage emissions and improve people’s sensory experience of their surroundings.
