A Circular Lifestyle
We are designing a pioneering Circular Economy project in Surrey that encompasses art, architecture, landscape and emotional response to design, in an exemplar of a new Circular Lifestyle, that not only considers a building’s materials as part of the circularity process, but also people and ecology.
The scheme is not just a house, but also a multi-functional, educational, not-for-profit facility, designed to consider and enhance the wellbeing of all visitors
The approach to the scheme has been collaborative. Throughout the design process researchers from The University of Cambridge and students from The University of Wolverhampton have provided advice and input on forward thinking technologies and processes.
A key part of the development of this project has been our research and development into the best uses of technology in its design and delivery. We have developed innovative combinations of technologies to create a new array of digital tools to collect and apply data in new combinations and formats to fast-track key stages of applying Circular Economy principles. This is streamlining and accelerating the analysis of this deconstruction and reuse of an existing building.
