Colleagues work alongside state of the art automated technology, which serves supermarkets across the North West and beyond. The automated nature of the facility means that it is also one of the most ergonomically friendly distribution centres in Europe, as colleagues have standing work stations and are assisted by robots and 4.5km of conveyer belts.

A 400,000 sqft distribution warehouse, with clear haunch heights of 18.8m and 28.2m, incorporates six linked mezzanines totalling 220,000 sqft which connect the double deep auto-pallet store via conveyors and sorting equipment to 2 High Dynamic Stores.

The project includes all fit-out and associated fuel and HGV wash facilities. Chetwoods also co-ordinated the £50 million state-of-the-art MHE installation.
