London Construction Awards Winner
We are thrilled that our landmark project for Baytree Logistics Properties at Nuneaton has been announced as the London Construction Awards Excellence in Sustainability Project of the Year at a glittering awards ceremony which celebrated achievements, developments, and innovations in the UK’s vibrant construction industry over the past year.
The judges described Baytree Nuneaton as “an ambitious project with sustainability running through every element”. They hoped that the project “inspires others to look for alternatives to concrete and steel” and were also “impressed with the use of renewable energy, not just in the construction but also in the operation of the building once complete.”
This project has been acclaimed widely for its significant reduction in embodied and whole-life carbon within an industrial and logistics development. From its inception, the strategy to minimise carbon was meticulously integrated; led by Chetwoods Thrive team it focused on every detail of design and construction while maintaining a holistic perspective. The project exemplifies collaboration and ambition in striving for lower carbon buildings and broader industry change.
In addition our Works team was shortlisted for Digital Construction Team of the Year, in recognition of their expertise and dedication in advancing innovative digital construction processes and technologies, and advocating for digital transformation across the industry. The team are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance sustainability and circular design processes within the construction sector. Their development of BIM and digital twin technology models provides comprehensive digital representations for building operations, performance, and maintenance, driving efficient sustainability.
