We have been shortlisted for our innovation at the AJ100 Awards
We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the AJ100 Innovation of the Year 2023 award.
This category rewards an innovation that has transformed an aspect of a practice’s work. It can be either a technological innovation or any other example of inspirational problem-solving.
Chetwoods has developed a methodology to further circular design by producing new layers of information to assist in the quantification and reuse of materials.
Our methodology combines technologies in innovative ways to create enhanced digital outputs. These produce new layers of data to construct highly detailed 3D models, and record information for the quantification and reuse of materials. These models are accessible to teams working on the deconstruction and reconstruction of a building.
Led by Chetwoods’ Chairman Laurie Chetwood, this initiative has also involved students from the University of Wolverhampton as part of their final year coursework. Dr. Erika Parn, a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, has also contributed to the research in collaboration with our Works technology team.
Our shortlisted team has presented our entry in more detail to the AJ100 judging panel and the results will be revealed in June.
