UK Green Building Council Supply Chain Decarbonisation Task Group
Our colleague Ellen Willis has been selected to join the UKGBC cross-industry Supply Chain Decarbonisation specialist task group.
The group will support the Advancing Net Zero team at UKGBC, which has been gathering perspectives from all areas of the supply chain to identify key topics where UKGBC can drive significant change and impact to advance supply chain decarbonisation in the built environment.
The built environment accounts for 25% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions, and for most built environment organisations, supply chain emissions represent the largest share of their carbon footprint. The UKGBC is fostering cross-sector collaboration to address the barriers and challenges facing supply chains.
Ellen will bring to the group her experience working with our clients as part of Chetwoods’ Thrive team, including the practical application of research and initiatives into supply chain optimisation in award-winning projects we have designed and delivered in the industrial and logistics sectors.
Thrive supports the design and delivery of more sustainable projects, advocating for sustainable and regenerative approaches. It promotes solutions to reduce the construction industry’s impact, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and aims to deliver projects that mitigate climate and ecological breakdown while enhancing health and wellbeing.
